How it works

A little money
on the line.

Nobody wants to be the one who lost a tenner because they “felt tired”. That's the whole trick.

  1. 01

    Make the plan

Dinner, five-a-side, gym, a first date. Pick the spot and set a flake fee.

  2. 02

    Friends lock in

They join in seconds and send the fee straight to you: PayPal, Revolut, Venmo, GCash, UPI, a QR, whatever you use.

  3. 03

    Check in on arrival

Opens 30 minutes before. GPS does the work; friends can vouch if someone's phone is being dramatic.

  4. 04

    Flakers feed the pot

Show up and your money comes back. Flake and it's split between everyone who came.

Do the maths

Where the pot goes

Drag the sliders. Flakers lose their fee, and it's split between everyone who showed up.

Real FlakePot maths. The organizer is in it too, and odd cents stay with them.

01

Your money, your apps

Deposits and refunds move between you and your friends directly. We keep the ledger, never the cash.

02

Fair check-ins

GPS with an accuracy check, vouches from friends, group photos and an excuse vote. Receipts, not arguments.

03

Reliability that follows you

Your score, streaks and badges show who's rock solid and who's a professional flaker.

Questions

The fine print, but readable.

Does FlakePot hold my money?

Never. Deposits go straight from your payment app to the organizer's, and refunds come straight back. FlakePot keeps score, does the maths and sends the reminders.

Who gets the pot?

Everyone who pulled up, split equally, organizer included. Late? You still share it, minus a late fee if the plan has one. Cancel before the cutoff and you get your deposit back with no flake recorded.

What if my GPS is wrong?

If two friends who checked in vouch for you, you're in. You can also snap a group photo and tag who's there.

What if I have a real excuse?

Post it within 24 hours. Everyone who came votes. A majority yes, or a tie, and you're excused and refunded.

What if the organizer doesn't pay back?

Settle up shows exactly who owes what. They get a reminder every day and their profile wears an "Owes refunds" badge until it's done.

Is it free?

Yes, for plans up to 8 people with every core feature. Host ($12/month) is for big groups and weekly games. Pardons and card themes are optional extras.

Do my friends need an account?

No. A name and an email gets them in. They can claim an account later.

Who can use it?

Adults 18+. Deposits are a private arrangement between friends.

Your friends are about to get very punctual.

Free for plans up to 8. Takes a minute to set up.
